Ronald Norton Appointed to Lead AAIPharma's Expanded North American Exploratory Development ServicesWilmington, N.C., February 5, 2008 -- Ronald Norton joins AAIPharma to lead the Company's expanded North American Exploratory Development Services group which includes phase I-IIA clinical pharmacology, bioequivalence and bioanalytical services. Ronald brings over 20 years of industry experience at both Pharmaceutical and Contract Research companies. In previous roles with Glaxo Wellcome and MDS Pharma Services, Ronald was responsible for the oversight of both phase I and late phase clinical trials across a variety of therapeutic areas. His focus and experience in early clinical drug development are in pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, and pharmacogenetics as well as personnel, operational, and financial management. During 2007 AAIPharma expanded its phase I capacity in Morrisville, NC opening a new custom built 60 bed clinic specializing in first in human studies adding to the existing capacity of 158 beds in Morrisville, NC and the 80 bed clinical pharmacology unit in Neu-Ulm, Germany.
