Dr. Ronald Kershner To Discuss Data Monitoring Committees at SoCRA Annual Conference

Ron Kershner, Ph.D., vice president of biostatistics and data management at AAIPharma, will present “The Role of the Data Monitoring Committee (DMC)” during the Society of Clinical Research Associates Annual Conference in Vancouver, BC.

Dr. Kershner will share his experience gained during a 25-year career in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and clinical research industries in which he has participated in 24 NDA submissions and served in various capacities in more than 20 DMCs. Most recently, Kershner served as Chairman of a DMC providing efficacy and safety oversight for two Phase III studies in kidney transplantation.

The session, scheduled for 4:15 p.m. Friday, September 26, will focus on the applicable regulations covering DMCs, the roles played by members of the DMC, and the critical role DMCs play in protecting participants in clinical trials.
