Wilmington, NC – June 1, 2010 - AAIPharma Services Corporation announced today it will open new laboratory facilities in Durham NC consolidating its former Chapel Hill labs into one site.
"This is the first of many anticipated initiatives we are making to improve our laboratory footprint and offer our customers a state of the art lab facility that is unrivaled in our space”, said George Spanos, Vice President of Laboratory Services.
The new lab features:
• 18,000 sq. ft of dedicated lab and office space for GMP analytical testing
• Back up power generation.
• FM-200 dry fire suppression system.
• Building Management System allowing remote access to laboratory environmental controls.
The new laboratory is conveniently located in the heart of Research Triangle Park at I-40 and Page Road and minutes from the Raleigh-Durham International airport. The new facility, with ample room for future expansion, brings 35 staff members, from the old facility, with an average tenure of over ten years experience and an outstanding FDA inspection history.
A grand opening celebration is planned for Thursday July 15, 2010 at 11:00 am and members of the press are welcome.
